Darlingtonia State Natural Site & Heceta Head Lighthouse State Scenic Viewpoint
 One of the most unique parks you can visit is the Darlingtonia State Natural Site that you will find to the North of Florence. This 18 acre state park is home to rare patches of the Darlingtonia californica, or the cobra lily. You can enjoy a leisurely stroll around the loop trail located in the park. This is the only state park in Oregon that´s devoted to the conservation of a single species of plant.
Also along the Devil´s Elbow area north of Florence is the Heceta Head Lighthouse State Scenic Viewpoint. The feature of this park is, of course, the lighthouse. However, two miles away is the famed Sea Lion Caves where you can take an elevator down to a Cave full of sea lions. It´s definitely worth it to see how the other residents of coastal Oregon live.
Honeyman State Park
 To the South of Florence you will find the Jessie M. Honeyman Memorial State Park. This is a popular spot for all sorts of recreational activities like swimming, ATV access, sandboarding and camping.
Honeyman State Park is located next to Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. The sand dunes here are truly a sight to see. The direct result of millions of years of rain erosion and wind, some of these dunes tower above sea level. It is a favorite of off-roaders, hikers, photographers and more. You can also fish, canoe and ride your horse among the fantastic scenery here.
